Each unit is built to a 36″ × 19″ footprint, with custom grilles and wall sleeves available as needed — a configuration we’ve delivered for hundreds of New York City customers. These custom NCP units ship in approximately 2–3 weeks, compared with Aerosys systems, which currently aren’t available for delivery until approximately December 2026.
Why We Started Customizing NCP Units
Aerosys builds some of the best through-the-wall condensers for NYC buildings, sized specifically for the 36″ x 19″ wall sleeves found in high-rises across the city. The problem isn’t the equipment — it’s the wait. Manufacturer lead times have stretched out to roughly December 2026, and a building with a dead condenser in a south-facing apartment can’t put a tenant on hold for the better part of a year.
National Comfort Products has been in the NYC through-wall market longer than almost anyone, and many buildings already list NCP as an approved brand in their alteration agreements. By customizing NCP units to the same footprint and specifications as the Aerosys system you’d otherwise order, we give you the same fit, the same performance, and a turnaround measured in weeks instead of months.
What We Customize
- 36″ × 19″ footprint: Built to drop into the standard NYC through-wall sleeve — the same opening an Aerosys unit uses.
- Custom grilles: Matched to your existing exterior appearance and building requirements.
- Custom wall sleeves: Supplied when a new or replacement sleeve is needed for the opening.
- Matched capacity: Sized to the same tonnage as the Aerosys model you were considering, from 1.5 to 2.5 tons.
Turnaround: Weeks, Not Months
A custom NCP unit ships in approximately 2–3 weeks. The equivalent Aerosys system currently isn’t available for delivery until roughly December 2026. For a building trying to get a unit back online before summer, that difference is the entire point. We’ve done this for hundreds of New Yorkers, and the finished installation looks and performs like the Aerosys system it replaces.
